Stolen Key? How to Erase It From Your Car

Rolling code resets, deleting old keys from the immobiliser list and keeping your insurer happy.

If a key is stolen — or you suspect an ex-employee kept a copy — the old key needs deleting from the car's immobiliser, not just 'locked out'.

Why a fresh key isn't enough

Cutting a new key doesn't disable the stolen one. The stolen key still starts the car unless you erase it from the immobiliser list.

How rolling code reset works

We connect to the immobiliser, wipe ALL programmed keys, then re-add only the keys you physically present. The stolen key becomes a paperweight.

Insurance & police

Report the theft, get a crime reference number, then book the reset. Most insurers require the immobiliser reset to maintain cover after a key loss.
