Lost or locked your keys in your car at Heathrow? You're not alone — it's one of the most common call-outs we get every week. Here's how to get back on the road fast.
Step 1 — confirm your terminal and car park
Heathrow has five terminals and dozens of short-stay, long-stay, business and meet-and-greet car parks. Tell your locksmith the exact terminal, level and bay number — it saves 20+ minutes on arrival.
Step 2 — call a mobile auto locksmith, not the AA
Recovery companies will tow you to a dealer. A mobile auto locksmith cuts and programs a new key on-site at your terminal car park, usually inside 90 minutes from arrival.
Step 3 — have your paperwork ready
V5 logbook + photo ID is all we need to prove ownership and program a new key. If your V5 is at home, a photo of it on your phone is fine for most jobs.
Step 4 — book the right service
We cover every Heathrow terminal — T2, T3, T4, T5 — and offer dedicated landing pages for each. See our Heathrow Terminal pages for terminal-specific response times and parking guidance.
